How to Use Graphic Design to Attract Customers

Graphic design is an effective way of optimising any advertising media. It does not matter if it is on the Internet, in printed form, or a direct mail marketing campaign. If you are targeting local business then you have the advantage of procuring the services of a local based graphic design firm. I used the services of a graphic designer in Northampton recently to promote a local nightclub via a flyer campaign distributed around the university campus.

This was a very cost-effective way of reaching my target audience which consisted of people from the ages of 18 to 25. It was very direct and my graphic designer knew exactly what kind of logo and copywriting text to use to grab the students attention. It would have cost me a lot more to place an ad in a local newspaper, which I doubt would have been read by many people in that particular age bracket.

Direct mail marketing is not an old-fashioned way of reaching out to customers but many people have given up on it because they believe the Internet is the way to go. I believe in a multi-pronged approach to marketing locally.
